Selecting the Top Horseback Riding Jeans for Your Needs
To make sure you get the best horseback riding jeans for your needs you will need to keep a couple things in mind. Both men and women have a lot of options when it comes to their riding jeans but if you don’t keep these things in mind your ride won’t be as comfortable as possible.
Horseback Jeans for Men
Men: For men, making sure we have enough room in the butt, crotch, and thighs is priority number one. Few things worse than riding all day with pants too tight in the top. Most of the top brands for men take this into consideration, but be sure to verify before dropping your hard earned money on a pair. You’re going to also want to make sure that your inseam is about three or four inches longer than your everyday denim. When sitting in the saddle, your legs will ride up and that extra few inches will make sure your pant legs stay over your boot tops. Last, I prefer mine to be double stitched. I’ve blown out my fair share of backsides over the years, but a top pair of double stitched denim are going to be durable and not leave your backside hanging out of a giant hole.
Horseback Pants for Women
Women: For women the principles are largely the same. Adding a few extra inches to your pant leg length is the way to go. For the traditional riding jeans made of denim, you are going to want to make sure there is enough room to move while up in the saddle. A lot of women’s riding jeans today are stretch fit making this not an issue. The key for women’s riding jeans is to avoid pants with thick inside leg seems. Spend all day with your leg rubbing against a rough seam is going to bring the fun down a couple notches.
